Carla is a qualified HR Professional and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. Carla joined the Trust in 2020 whilst working as a HR Manager at one of the High Schools in the Trust. Carla has previous HR experience in private-sector organisations in the legal and automotive industries, working closely with leaders and managers to deliver a pro-active, professional HR service. Carla is passionate about creating and developing a People Strategy that promotes a positive workplace culture and helps attract, develop and retain the Trust’s workforce.

Roles

To lead the Multi Academy Trust’s central human resources function, leading on the provision of a forward thinking, responsive and professional HR service; ensuring the MAT remains compliant with employment law, conditions of service, policies/procedures, Bishop’s Memorandum and best practice.

• Responsible for the creation and implementation of the MAT’s HR Strategy

• Supporting the Headteachers in the MAT to ensure that the HR Strategy contributes to school improvement

• Managing the delivery of a compliant, professional HR service for the MAT

• Providing robust professional advice and recommendations for action in all aspects of HR policy and practice
